Internship Information

Leveling Justice Mitigation Services is committed to providing meaningful learning opportunities for students interested in criminal defense, mitigation, social history investigation, and criminal justice reform.

At this time, internships are unpaid. We are happy to work with colleges and universities to facilitate academic credit when available through a student's program. Interns will gain hands-on experience, mentorship, and exposure to the mitigation process while contributing to meaningful advocacy on behalf of our clients.

Interns at Leveling Justice will have the opportunity to work closely with mitigation specialists, attorneys, investigators, experts, and other members of the defense team. Interns will gain hands-on experience in mitigation investigation, sentencing advocacy, and client-centered defense work.

This internship is ideal for students interested in criminal justice reform, criminal defense, social work, social sciences, human rights advocacy, and qualitative research and storytelling. Students from diverse academic and personal backgrounds are strongly encouraged to apply.
